As State Representative from District 6, I have been honored to serve in the Arizona House of Representatives. My mission has been clear: to provide the critical services needed in the most efficient manner possible. One thing that I have learned in the Legislature is that the most effective vote is often “NO”. That is often difficult for elected officials to do because they want to please their constituents. And yet saying NO is often the only way to stop out of control spending and the growth of government.
We have too many people who claim to be conservatives but then go along with the crowd and vote for every new spending bill that comes along. Not me. I am not afraid to vote my conscience in committee and on the floor of the Legislature. I always ask myself two questions: Is this something that government needs to do? And if so, is it something that state government must do or should it be at the local or federal level?

One of the best parts of my job as State Representative is getting out in the community and meeting with parents, students, small business owners, police officers, nurses and all the other people who make this such a great place to live.
I try to make myself accessible to all, whether we agree or not. Because I believe that listening is the best way to learn.
